Today we started to paper mache our masks. I think that paper machaing is fun but I dont like getting the glue all over my hands. I am only up to the first layer of newspaper. We have to use newspaper then white paper and we have to repeat this. We do this so that you now what you are up to. You don't want your mask to have a thin patch and a really thick patch.We want our mask to be even.

Today we worked on our masks again. I had to mould my ears to make them look like they are really coming off the head not just stuck on. I love art at the moment it is so fun!!

I am so sorry but I could not figure out how to post the picture of my mask form sideview.
I hope you like my Blog I put alot of time and effort into it. I tried my hardest. I hope it was good enough.

Reflecton on the three animals I chose for my mask:

I chose an elephant for one of the three animals for my mask because I absolutlely love them. When I went to Thailand, our hotel had two baby elephants, I fell in love with them and when I left they started crying which nearly brang me to tears. I love elephants cause they have big ears, long trunks, are so peaceful, gentle, playful, obedient and they have great memories.

The second animal I chose for my mask was a giraffe, because I love giraffes. They are so cute and gentle. Every time I got to Taranga Zoo in Sydney I buy a big stuffed Giraffe. I love thier long pink tongues, little antlers on top of thier tiny heads and long necks.

The third animal I chose for my mask is a puppy dog, because they are so cute. I love puppies big eyes and waggy tails. I have two puppies at home and I adore them both, they are like my little babies, in winter I put little jackets on them. When they look at me with there big brown eyes I have to pick them up and give them a big hug. That is what I want my mask to do with people I want the puppy dog eyes on my mask to make people pick my mask up and give it a hug. I love my puppies because they have wet noises, are so cute, playful and smart.

The following list is what bodie parts are from each of my three animals:
Ears= elephants
Nose= elephants
Eyes= puppys
Antlers= Giraffe

I hope that my mask turns out well and is very cute. I enjoy making my mask and cant wait to start painting it.

Three hints to help the future students are:

1.Try your hardest and dont give up if you make a mistake.

2. Put your stuffed animal straight in front of you before you start drawing.

3. Do a practise draw with your stick so that you can get the hang of it before you actually start drawing your actual picture.

Today we started working on our mask my elephant/giraffe/puppy has turned out very good so far. I have made the Elephant trunk and ears. I cant wait to finish my mask and be able to take it home and show my family.

The techniques we used in the drawing unit are as folows:

-We used sticks and dipped them in ink as writting tools.
- The thing is that you had to learn how to use your stick, becuase one end was thick and on was thin, so you had to learn how to use those techniques to perfect your texture.
-So we used texture, colour and lines to perfect our master peice.

Left side dominant:

I responded as a right brained person to 7 questions, and I responded as a left brained person to 12 questions. According to the Hemispheric Dominance test, I use the left side or my brain the most. I use both sides of our brain, but your left side gets the most exercise.
I am left side dominated which means that I use my left side of my brain more than my right side of my brain.
Left side dominant means that you are better at logical thinking.
Right side dominant means you are a more emotional and artistic thinker.

Today we went to T4 again, we went onto the computors and logged onto our igoogle accounts. We got into our link called arti and we did a Multiple Intillegence test. Mrs Hampton taught us how to post our results ont o our blog account. This lesson was very fun and I learnt how to use photo shop and a bit more about my personality.

Today we went to T4 and we had to make an igoogle bloggger account. It was very fun to make up colours and themes for our website but it was quite confusing! I can not wait to put all my future Art work on my website for everyone else to see.
